The Animal Production course is a 10-week training program designed to equip trainees with practical knowledge and skills in the management of farm animals for sustainable and profitable production. The course emphasizes the role of livestock in food security, income generation, and rural development, while integrating scientific, entrepreneurial, and environmental approaches.
Trainees will explore key areas of animal production including anatomy and physiology, breeding, nutrition, health management, housing, and enterprise economics. Through lectures, discussions, case studies, and practical assignments, learners will develop the competencies required to plan, manage, and evaluate livestock enterprises such as dairy, beef, sheep, goats, poultry, and rabbits.
